Terms

Service terms

Effective 16 September 2026. Travel with Tutu is currently operated by Tutu. These terms describe the current enquiry stage and the minimum conditions that must be confirmed before any paid work or companion booking.

Enquiries are not bookings

Submitting Ask Tutu or Go with Tutu information does not guarantee acceptance, a companion, a date, a booking, or a price, and does not authorize a charge. Tutu must confirm availability, scope, provider, price, cancellation terms, and payment instructions in writing before a paid service begins.

The four services

Local companion matching

Requests are accepted for cities across China, but supply is not guaranteed. Tutu’s current role is to look for a possible fit and check identity, background, communication, relevant strengths, credentials where applicable, and schedule. The person who accompanies you is not automatically Tutu and may not be a licensed guide; the proposed person and verified credentials must be disclosed individually before booking.

The displayed reference prices are $199 for 4 hours or $349 for 8 hours for a private group of 1–4, with $50 per agreed overtime hour. Transport, tickets, meals, supplier charges, and personal expenses are excluded unless a later written offer says otherwise.

Get Help from Tutu

$39 covers a 30-minute video call for up to three questions and a short recap within 24 hours. It excludes a full itinerary review, substantial pre-call research, new post-call research, unlimited follow-up, and emergency support. One change requested at least 24 hours before the call may be accepted without a change fee. A cancellation within 24 hours, no-show, or late arrival does not extend the booked end time and is normally non-refundable. If Tutu cannot hold the call, the customer may choose a new time or refund.

China Itinerary Review

$49 covers one itinerary of up to 14 travel days, five cities or main stops, three accommodation candidates, and 1–6 travelers sharing the same plan. Delivery is due within 48 hours after Tutu confirms the scope, payment, and complete materials. It includes the six-part English PDF described on Go with Tutu and one consolidated clarification within seven days.

Cancellation before acceptance is refundable. Once individualized work starts, changes of mind or new dates, cities, budget, or preferences do not require a refund or rewrite. If Tutu cannot deliver within the agreed time, the customer may continue waiting or request a refund.

Design Your China Trip Book

$149 covers up to three days in one city; each accepted additional day is $25. It includes one kickoff call and one consolidated clarification. A new city, changed destination, changed dates or core preferences, supplier costs, booking, live trip support, and unlimited revisions are outside the standard scope. Delivery timing and any scope change must be confirmed before payment.

Local companion terms are not active yet

Companion contracts, payment collection, insurance, cancellation, replacement, weather, lateness, safety, complaint handling, and responsibility between Travel with Tutu and a companion are not finalized. No companion request will be automatically confirmed or charged while those terms remain incomplete.

Before any future companion booking, a written offer must identify the actual provider and contracting/payment parties; confirm date, duration, meeting point, inclusions and exclusions; state cancellation/refund and replacement rules; explain weather and late-arrival handling; disclose the current insurance position; provide a complaint route; and explain emergency and conduct responsibilities. If those facts are not supplied, no booking should proceed.

Traveler responsibilities and changing information

You are responsible for accurate trip information, lawful travel documents and entry eligibility, personal health decisions, insurance choices, supplier bookings, following local law, treating companions and communities respectfully, and making final travel decisions. Travel with Tutu does not provide legal, visa, medical, tax, insurance, or emergency advice.

Routes, prices, schedules, availability, weather, opening hours, reservation rules, and government policies can change. Guidance is based on the information and checks available at the stated time and is not a guarantee that third-party facts remain unchanged.

Privacy, safety, and contact

Do not send passport numbers, bank details, passwords, or verification codes through an enquiry. Personal information is handled as described in the Privacy policy. For a question, correction, complaint, or accessibility need, use Ask Tutu.
